Procedures and Guidelines

Honeywell recognizes the importance of the volunteer in meeting the special needs of our communities and the agencies working within these communities.

Because requests for individual and group volunteers are so many and diverse, it is necessary that organizations requesting corporate volunteer assistance provide the following information. A submitted written request is preferred, but not required.

Procedures

A non-profit organization should submit a request which includes the following information:
  • Name of organization
  • Telephone and address of organization
  • Number of desired volunteers and brief corresponding volunteer job descriptions and/or volunteer project description
  • Mission/purpose of organization
  • Benefit to the community
  • History of organization
  • Administration of organization (upon request)

Guidelines

  • Agencies must qualify as tax-exempt under IRS regulations, 501(c)(3).
  • Support will be given to organizations in Maricopa County (or as appropriate).
  • Disbursements are limited to $500 per community agency and are at the discretion of the Honeywell Volunteers of Arizona Executive Committee.
  • Request are evaluated on an individual basis.
