About Honeywell Volunteers of Arizona Special Features
| What Is A VolunteerHoneywell has a word for people like you...You bake a few cookies for the PTA. You take an envelope around the neighborhood for your favorite charity. You serve on the board of a non-profit group. You go with the second grade on a trip to the zoo. You collect a few things for the clothing drive. You spend your Saturdays helping out at the ball field. You take part in meetings on the future of your community. Honeywell has a word for people like you. The word is: Volunteer.
Each year, thousands of Honeywell people - employees, retirees, family members - give the most valuable gifts of all. They give their time. They give their talents. They give of themselves. They give something back to the community to make things a little better for someone else and to make the Valley a better place to live. But studies show many more people would be willing to get involved if someone would just point them in the right direction. That's what Honeywell Volunteers of Arizona is all about. Doing our partHoneywell has always recognized its responsibility to do more than provide jobs to the communities in which it operates. Our desire to be an active corporate citizen has evolved into a community relations philosophy that includes making financial contributions, working closely with other concerned companies and groups, and considering the possible effects of business decisions on the community. But people bring life to programs in a way that dollars alone can't. So the real focus of Honeywell's community involvement effort is people. With tens of thousands of employees, retirees and family members in the Valley of the Sun, Honeywell people are becoming a positive force in the community. Now, the Honeywell Volunteers of Arizona will make it easier than ever for you to get involved. Our goal is simple. We work to match people who want to volunteer with groups that need help. If you're already involved, we want to hear about it. If you want to get involved, we want to help.
